Comments are encouraged, however, all comments are moderated and approved or disapproved by the Webmaster Staff. Some reasons a comment might be rejected for publication:

Vulgar, obscene, or inappropriate language. Don’t even think about it.
Ad hominem attacks.
Arguing with other comments. Sorry, this is not a forum or discussion board.
Off-topic comments that do not apply to the topic of a post.
Argumentative discussion that does not further readers’ understanding of a topic.
Links to web sites inappropriate to the discussion.
Incorrect or unverified information.
Comments that do not further understanding of an issue due to spelling and grammatical errors.
Copyrighted material and quotes without attribution.
Confidential information that is not approved for publication by an individual or family.
Information that endangers the national security of the United States or its allies.

If you feel that your comment has been lost, or not approved due to a misunderstanding, you may contact the Webmaster Staff by leaving an additional comment. Generally, only one 300-word comment per person is permitted for each article. If you wish to write longer or multiple comments, please post your thoughts on your own blog with a link or track back to the article.

All comments are read by the Webmaster Staff before approval. Unfortunately, due to space considerations, not all comments can or will be posted. Non-essential or dated comments may be removed after being shown for 24 hours.
